MIAMI VALLEY — The area woke up to a mix of rain and snow to start Thanksgiving.

As reported Thursday on News Center 7 Daybreak, Xavier Hershovitz checked driving conditions throughout the area inside Storm Center Tracker 7.

He saw mainly light volume on wet roads.
The Miami Valley saw temperatures above freezing with a rain and snow mix.
Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney says it is moving east and will be completely out of the area. But we will see colder temperatures after Thursday.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is asking drivers to give their crews plenty of room to operate.
“Our trucks are very large, they have those big flashing lights. When you see us, make sure that you give us plenty of room to work,” said Loryn Bryson.
