HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Over the last two years, there has been an uptick in stolen cars in the Dayton area, mainly due to social media trends teaching people to steal cars.
Free steering wheel locks are offered to those living in Harrison Township who own a Kia or Hyundai to help combat the increased number of stolen cars.

“Deputies are encouraging other prreventive meansures such as rolling up windows, locking doors, removing kets or fobs, parking in a garage or well-lighted area and installing a security camera,” the Harrison Insight read.
The steering wheel locks are of limited quantity and can be picked up between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, at the Sheriff’s Officer District substation on North Dixie Drive.
