The pursuit begin after a deputy attempted to stop a Pontiac sedan for a traffic violation on state Route 201 in Bethel Twp., Duchak said.
The driver refused to stop and continued traveling north on state Route 201, with speeds in the pursuit reaching 100 mph. The car eventually crashed into a field at the intersections of state routes 201 and 55, Duchak said.
Both Cooper and Baker were treated for minor injuries before being booked into the county jail, according to investigators.
Further investigation by deputies found the car involved in the pursuit was reported stolen from Dayton, Duchak said.
Cooper is facing preliminary charges of fleeing and eluding, receiving stolen property and reckless operation.
Baker was arrested due to an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Hamilton County on a charge of passing bad checks, Duchak said.
