RIVERSIDE — A Riverside man faces murder and felonious assault charges after police said he used a metal broom handle and his fists to attack his father, according to court records.

David Streeter, 30, was charged by prosecutors Tuesday afternoon.

Streeter is accused of killing his father Donald Streeter inside his home on Robinwood Avenue sometime between Saturday and Sunday, police said.

“David Streeter struck Donald Streeter in the head, face, neck and other areas with a metal broom handle, as well as his fists,” Riverside Det. Travis Abney wrote in a statement of facts.

David Streeter’s bond was set at $500,000.

Police responded to the home around 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Police obtained a search warrant for the residence, however details of that search warrant were not immediately available.
