BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek City Schools announced Friday that students grade 9-12 will transition to fully remote learning, beginning Monday November 16.
In a release, school officials said Beavercreek High School and Ferguson Hall are expected to return to in-person learning after Thanksgiving on Monday November 30.
This switch to remote learning is a result of increasing absences among staff and students due to COVID-19.
“The spread of COVID-19 in our schools remains low, however we are seeing an increase in positive cases and we are experiencing a greater impact in the number of students and staff being required to quarantine," said the school.
The school also cited rising COVID cases across the state as a reason for the move to remote learning.
