BEAVERCREEK — An Indianapolis man is accused of using zip ties on a CVS employee and ordering others to the ground at gunpoint, while those employees said he stole prescription medication during a robbery earlier this week.

According to records, Rayner and another unidentified man entered the store and went to the pharmacy counter asking to have a prescription filled.

"All of a sudden they jumped the counter," a statement of facts read. "Both subjects...immediately began requesting hydrocodine, oxycodone and promethazine with codeine."

Surveillance video showed one of the men pointing a gun at employees and escorting them around the store. The suspects then ordered the employees to lay on the ground and count to 30 while the men escaped.

An employee told police he was zip-tied during the robbery.

The employees said the suspects escaped through the drive-thru window.

Beavercreek Police briefly chased the suspect vehicle, but terminated the pursuit before Dayton police picked it back up a short time later.

Dayton Police chased the vehicle until it crashed on I-75 near the Little York Road overpass in Butler Twp.

Rayner was arrested after running off from the car.

Detectives recovered multiple bottles of prescriptions all over the back seat and rear passenger floorboard. They also found zip ties matching those used in the robbery and a mask that matched the description of the mask provided to police by a loss prevention officer at the CVS, records show.

The second suspect also was caught, but he’s not been identified and its not clear what charges he could face for the crime.
