CINCINNATI — UPDATE Feb. 16 @ 8:06 a.m.: Ellen Grieshop, 52, of Beavercreek, has died after a tree fell onto her car while driving in Cincinnati earlier this month.
First responders used the “jaws of life” to extract Grieshop from her vehicle and rushed her to University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Feb. 6.

According to a Go Fund Me page set up for the family, she was rerouted to Galbraith Road while on her way to a work appointment.
Grieshop was in a coma and on life support before succumbing to her injuries.
“She fought to the very end, but the injuries were just too much to overcome,” her husband John stated in a message on the page.
FIRST REPORT Feb. 12 @ 4:00 p.m.: A Beavercreek woman remains in intensive care at University of Cincinnati Medical Center after a tree fell onto the car she was driving near Cincinnati last week, according to a family friend.
Ellen Grieshop, 52, was critically injured when the tree fell onto her car while she was driving in the 500 block of Galbraith Road in Springfield Twp. near Cincinnati last Wednesday, a crash report shows. The crash happened around 11 a.m.

After the tree fell onto the car, the vehicle went off the road, up an embankment, striking another tree before overturning, the crash report showed.
Grieshop was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be pulled from the wreckage by firefighters, according to the report.
The 52-year-old was wearing her seatbelt.
