XENIA — A 20-year-old bicyclist was seriously hurt when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Xenia Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at East Main and Leach streets around 5:10 a.m. and the vehicle involved fled the scene, per initial reports.
Officials say a passerby found the bicyclist in the middle road soon after, but was unable to provide a description of the suspect vehicle.
Initial reports also indicate the male bicyclist suffered a head injury. The bicyclist was conscious when transported to Miami Valley Hospital, authorities confirm.
An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene.
East Main reopened around 9 a.m.
