CLARK COUNTY — Newly released body camera footage shows what two women went through after being locked up in a Clark County basement and left for dead.

Investigators say Charles Womack held the women hostage for hours, tying them up in a basement.

Body cam footage shows deputies rushing to get to the two women after one called 911 desperate for help.

“I need a squad here immediately someone fell down the stairs five hours ago. I’ve been hogtied choked with an extension cord,” she told dispatchers.

The deputy does not have to search hard to find where the two women are trapped.

Different types of furniture were stacked against the door and a wall to keep the two downstairs who could be faintly heard yelling for help.

Once the barricade was down, the deputy immediately knew they needed more help.

At the bottom of the steps there was a woman with an open knee fracture and her roommate Sarah Parker crying and trying to help.

Parker’s boyfriend, Womack, is the one they say did this.

“She fell from the second stair I heard him push her,” Parker said.

Parker said he then set up barricade and left. She tried to break her way out of the basement, but then found a phone downstairs to call 911 and get help for her roommate who told deputies she was still in pain.

Deputies took a door off its hinges to make space for medics, and after lying on the floor for more than five hours paramedics finally got Parker’s roommate on a stretcher and in an ambulance.

Parker told News Center 7′s Kayla McDermott she is broken over what she and her roommate went through and has no idea how she is ever going to recover mentally from this.

After a manhunt, Womack was taken into custody at gunpoint by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office near Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He is currently in their custody and awaits extradition proceedings.

Womack faces kidnapping, felonious assault, and abduction charges.
