Bomb threat investigation forces brief lockdown at Troy High School

TROY — Troy High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday while police and school officials investigated a bomb threat, according to a Facebook post by the school.

Following a search of the building and an initial investigation by Troy police, the threat was deemed not credible and students and staff members were not in danger. Classes were later allowed to return to normal.

The threat was received as an anonymous text message, school officials said. Troy police Capt. Jeff Kunkleman told the Dayton Daily News the threat was "very non-specific."

Police are continuing to investigate the source of the threat.
