Botkins boys basketball team wins state championship game

DAYTON — The Botkins boys basketball team won its state championship game Sunday.

Botkins played against Columbus Grove, winning 60-44 at UD Arena to claim the program’s first Division IV state title.

This was Botkins first trip to the state final four since 1994.

Botkins is not the only local school playing for a title. Centerville High School plays Westerville Central for the Division I championship at 8:30 p.m. at the arena.
