TROTWOOD — UPDATE @ 8 a.m.:
A chain-reaction crash caused a box truck to slam into the front of a Trotwood auto service building Monday morning, according to firefighters.

The crash was reported at the Grismer auto service center, at 840 East Main Street in Trotwood around 6:45 a.m. Monday.
An initial investigation found a pickup truck traveling west on East Main Street, slowed to make a left-hand turn but was rear-ended by the box truck, Trotwood Fire Capt. Scott Meyers said.

The box truck jumped a curb and crashed into one of the service doors of the building.

The crash also caused damage to another truck that was parked in the lot.
Only one person, the driver of the pickup truck, was injured in the crash. Firefighters said their injuries are believed to be minor and they were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The business is closed today will be be closed until further notice while a structural engineer inspects the building.

The business was not open at the time of the crash, according to initial reports.
It was not immediately known if any injuries were reported.
