This led to many cancellations and delays as Buckeye fans traveled to Dallas for tonight’s College Football Playoff (CFP) game against Texas.
The storm forced travelers to develop new travel plans to Dallas, WBNS said.
“Winter’s coming to Texas and the Buckeyes are here to strike,” said Luke Cetovich.
A man told WBNS that Ohio State fans are doing whatever it takes to arrive in time for the game.
“I have friends that got stuck in Charlotte today, so they’re flying to Austin tonight and then driving from Austin,” said David Fulwider.
Both teams arrived ahead of the storm on Wednesday, DFW wrote on social media.
This will be Texas’s 23rd appearance in the Cotton Bowl while this is Ohio State’s fourth visit.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. tonight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The winner faces Notre Dame in the CFP championship in Atlanta on Jan. 20.
Touchdown at DFW! 🏈 We’re happy to welcome the @TexasLonghorns & @OhioStateFB to North Texas for a game #LikeNoOther.
