XENIA — Former Ohio State Head Coach Urban Meyer reached out to the senior class at Xenia to congratulate them in what has certainly been a different experience for the graduating class.

““I know this has been a strange year for all of you,” Meyer told seniors in a video message posted on the Xenia Community Schools Facebook page. “I just want to tell you congratulations.”

The district is still reserving the July 8 date as a time they could potentially still hold a ceremony.

“I know this is not how any of us envisioned life would be in the current moment. However, we must be flexible and balanced as we try to acknowledge our students as they deserve and also ensure their safe exit to a bright future filled with multiple milestones and achievements, just as those proud graduates of XHS who came before them,” Superintendent Gabriel Lofton said.

Meyer also wished the students luck in the future.
