School bus driver at fault in Far Hills Avenue collision, sheriff’s deputy says

UPDATE @ 4:20 p.m.: The driver of a Centerville school bus will be cited as the at-fault driver in the two-vehicle collision, a Montgomery County sheriff's deputy said.

The violation is for failure to maintain the right-of-way.

The driver of the car has been taken to a hospital, suffering from non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver was not injured.

The accident scene has been cleaned up and traffic in the area has resumed.

UPDATE @ 4:05 p.m.: There were no children aboard the school bus involved in a collision on Far Hills Avenue, a Washington Twp. fire official said.

INITIAL REPORT

A crash reportedly involving a bus and another vehicle has been reported on Far Hills Avenue this afternoon.

The crash was reported around 3:30 p.m. in the area of Far Hills and Brookmount Road.

It’s not immediately clear if there was anyone on the bus or what type of bus was involved.
