A boil advisory has been issued for part of Springboro after a water main break Monday night.

Crews responded to the break late Monday on State Route 741, according to a social media post.
Photos show the break happened near the Springboro Community Schools building.
“There was a momentary depressurization of the water system before repairs could be made this morning,” the city said. “This affects the southern-most portion of the City only and only City of Springboro water customers.”
The boil advisory affects people living in Heatherwoode and the Farms of Heatherwoode Neighborhoods only.
People are asked to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure, the city said.

Springboro Police shut down traffic on State Route 741 at Heatherwoode Blvd on Monday night near Springboro Community Schools.
Dispatchers told News Center 7 that traffic is back open on State Route 741.

A busy street is closed after a water main break near a Warren County school on Monday.

Springboro Police said officers were dispatched to State Route 741 on initial reports of a water main break near Springboro Community schools.
The department shared photos on social media. It shows the streets blocked off and the break is near the junior high school entrance.
“State Route 741 is closed at Heatherwoode Blvd. and the Junior High School entrance due to a massive water main break,” the department said on social media.
They closed traffic in that area just before 6:45 p.m.
The department said the road is currently impassable and asked the public to avoid the area.
