Camden man accused of stabbing man over fish and french fries indicted

NEW LEBANON — A Camden man was indicted Monday after police said he stabbed a man over “cod fish and french fries” earlier this month, according to court records.

Arthur Seabolt, 54, was indicted by a grand jury for two counts felonious assault. He was arrested Feb. 2 at his home in the 1300 block of state Route 725 East.

The stabbing happened in the village of New Lebanon in the first block of Gloria Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2. Court records show Seabolt was accused of stabbing the victim in the arm.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and has since been released, said New Lebanon Police Chief Curtis Hensley.

Hensley said Seabolt and the victim were acquainted.

Seabolt was still listed as an inmate in the Montgomery County Jail Monday afternoon.
