Kettering Police and Fire were dispatched to the 2600 block of Wilmington Pike, the location of Animal MD Michelle Bahns DVM, at 7:10 a.m. on reports of a vehicle into a structure, Kettering Dispatch said.

When officers arrived on scene, they confirmed that a vehicle crashed into the veterinary clinic.

The vehicle struck the administrative side of the building while they were still closed and yet to be opened for the day, the owner of the business told News Center 7 Reporter Taylor Robertson. As a result, no animals were injured during the crash. No employees were inside the building during the incident.

A blue car was seen being removed from structure with part of the wall and brick lining collapsed, evident in the footage News Center 7 obtained from the scene.

The driver was reportedly still inside the vehicle when first responders arrived, according to initial traffic across emergency scanners. Crews helped remove the person. It is currently unknown if the driver was injured following the crash.

The business will be closed for the day, the owner said.

The Kettering Police Department led the investigation into the crash.
