1 injured after car lands on its top in Dayton crash

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 6:40 p.m.:

The driver of a Buick was headed east on Nicholas Road this evening when he apparently lost control and sideswiped a pickup truck headed in the opposite direction, Dayton police said.

The car then struck a phone pole and flipped over off the roadway. The driver was in stable condition when he was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

The pole will need to be replaced.

The pickup sustained minor damage and the driver was not injured.

FIRST REPORT

One person was injured in a two-car crash this evening that ended with a car on its top.

The crash was reported just before 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of Nicholas Road in Dayton.

The injury was not believed to be life-threatening following the crash between a pickup truck and Buick. It’s not clear what led to the crash.
