PERRY TWP., Montgomery County — UPDATE @ 12:20 a.m. (Dec. 19)
Speed is a possible factor in a crash that injured two people and knocked out power to four houses Tuesday night after a car struck a Dayton Power & Light pole and then a house near New Lebanon.
The driver of a white Mazda Miata was traveling south on Crawford Tom Runs Road around 8:15 p.m. when she lost control and went off the right side of the road. The car struck a DP&L pole, then struck a house in the 190 block, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
John Kyser, New Lebanon Fire Department Assistant Chief, said the driver refused treatment and that her child, whose age and gender was not released, was trapped following the crash. The child was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, he said.
