KETTERING — A case of whooping cough or Pertussis has been reported at a Kettering school.
In a letter to parents Tuesday night, John F. Kennedy Elementary School staff told parents they have been alerted of a case of whooping cough within the school.

Pertussis is a serious respiratory infection that spreads through the air when a infected person breaths, coughs, or sneezes, according to the letter.
The school advises parents to tell their children to not share drinks or eating utensils with others.
