TIPP CITY — A cat seriously burned in a fire in Trotwood last month has been moved to a critical care center for animals.

Fotis, an approximately 1-year-old male cat, was moved to Care Center Cincinnati, according to Our Farm Sanctuary director Sophia Kartsonis.

In April, Kartsonis told News Center 7 that Fotis had been “doused in accelerant” before someone flicked a cigarette on him, lighting him on fire at a Trotwood apartment complex.

“He had burns from head to toe,” Kartsonis previously said.

Now, she said more wounds have “declared themselves.”

Fotis will now begin hyperbaric treatment, with the help of Veterinary Wellness Center, prior to any of the surgeries he will require.

Our Farm Sanctuary is still accepting donations to help pay for Fotis’ treatment. More information on how you can make a donation can be found here.
