“During the pat down of her person, a syringe was located in her pocket, which she indicated was used to inject heroin about an hour prior to the crash,” said Grey.
The Sheriff Office K-9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. After receiving a search warrant, deputies discovered a white powder substance in the vehicle. The substance was sent away for testing.
Woods was charged with OVI and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments.
The remaining case will be sent to Mercer County Prosecutor, Matt Fox for review once the lab identifies the powder.
