CENTERVILLE — Centerville athletics announced it will be going completely digital for game tickets for the upcoming school year.
“No tickets will be sold at the gates at games this season, so all tickets and passes must be purchased online prior to attending a contest,” the district said in its announcement.
The move is the latest for local agencies moving toward a digital-focused economy.
Kings Island announced it is going cashless at its amusement park this month.
Beginning mid-July, all in-park locations will only accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Centerville schools said people interested in purchasing athletics tickets can visit www.ticketspicket.com and click on ‘Buy Tickets’ to search for Centerville Elks.
“Once on the Centerville Elks site, you can purchase passes, such as the Student Activity Pass or the Family Access Pass,” the district said.
Athletics passes are already available, but individual game tickets will not go on sale until at most a week before the scheduled game.
Anyone with questions is urged to contact the Centerville Athletic Office at 937-439-3516.
