Truett was accused of giving the teller a note saying he had a bomb strapped to him, according to police.

Three businesses, including the La Pinata, were evacuated. A daycare down the street from the bank was not been evacuated, however parents were alerted to the crime and some parents showed up to pick up their children.

Police said Truett had ran off from the bank after the robbery and got into an Toyota FJ cruiser, which belonged to his girlfriend.

Truett was arrested at the Hawthorn Suites in Miami Twp.

The FBI also responded to the incident, which is standard in a case like this one, police said.
