CENTERVILLE — Centerville schools has installed more than 500 cameras as part of ongoing security and safety enhancements throughout the district.
The project began last fall and was funded partially through a school safety initiatives grant from the state and the remainer came from the district’s permanent improvement fund, the district said in a statement.
In additional to the cameras, Centerville Safe Inc. providing funding for larger screens that are being used by staff to monitor the new cameras. Centerville Safe Inc. is a non-profit that works with the district to implement school safety and security best practices.
Centerville returned to in-person learning last week.
