Chase involving stolen car out of Moraine ends with crash in Dayton; suspects in custody

DAYTON — A chase involving a stolen car out of Moraine ended with a crash in Dayton Wednesday afternoon.

Around 6 p.m. Moraine officers were chasing a car that had been reported stolen when they lost sight of it and it was located again by Dayton officers, according to Dayton Police Department on social media.

The car crashed into two cars at the intersection of South Patterson and River Park Drive, according to DPD and witnesses on the scene.

The suspects ran from the car but were taken into custody, according to DPD.

Our crew on the scene saw three people detained, but information about how many people were taken into custody or the charges they face was not confirmed by police on the scene.
