WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Icy roads caused a crash near a Montgomery County pond late Wednesday night.

A Chevy Camaro crashed on a hill at E. Spring Valley Pike about a mile east of Clyo Road just before midnight in Washington Township.

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy told News Center 7′s James Brown that it happened near a retention pond but did not go into the water.
The deputy said the hill was very icy. The road was closed for an hour.
A medic checked on the driver, but no one was taken to the hospital.
Video and pictures show a sheriff’s deputy blocking the road.
A salt truck was also treating the roads on Wilmington-Dayton Road.
