GREENVILLE — Two students were burned in a “science experiment fire” at Greenville High School Monday afternoon, according to Superintendent Douglas Fries.
Both students were taken to the hospital to be checked out, but one was released after being treated, he said.
There was no update on the other student.
Medics and police were called to the school around 12:40 p.m., according to initial emergency dispatch traffic.
Dispatch records indicated medics met with a CareFlight mobile intensive care unit, which took at least one person to a local hospital.
We’re working to learn more about the condition of the teens and how the fire may have started.
