Cincinnati Zoo to honor first responders with free admission this week

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is honoring those who help keep our communities safe with free admission this week.

From Sept. 11-17 all active fire, police and safety personnel will get free admission to the park, as well as tickets at 50 percent off for up to six family members.

A valid photo ID must be presented at the zoo to take advantage of this offer — because of this tickets cannot be purchased online and must be picked up at the zoo.

Personnel who qualify for free admission include firefighters, EMTs, uniformed police officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, investigators, evidence technicians, firearms examiners, crime lab technicians, 911 dispatchers, correction officers, handwriting examiners, intelligence analysts, investigative assistants and active and retired members of the military.
