Clark State College set to dedicate room to Sheriff Gene Fischer

SPRINGFIELD — Later today, Clark State College is set to dedicate a room to the late Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer.

The dedication will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Brinkman Center today at 4:00 p.m.

Representatives from several local Sheriff’s offices and police departments will be attending, including Sen. Bob Tackett and Rep. Kyle Koehler.

Sheriff Gene Fischer passed away suddenly last November while attending a conference in Sandusky.

Officials say he suffered a medical emergency and was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
