DETAILED FORECAST:

TONIGHT: Clouds increase through the evening. Precipitation will arrive around or after 2AM; Briefly start as a mix before quickly switching to snow.

TOMORROW: Wednesday morning, we will have widespread accumulating snow falling as our next storm system begins to arrive. This will be right during the morning commute. Accumulation NORTHWEST OF DAYTON: 4-7″; Dayton, south and east 3-5″; Wilmington 1-3″

By 10AM there will be a transition over to rain from Oxford-Dayton-Springfield. This will create WET and SLUSHY driving conditions then for most of the Miami Valley for the rest of the day. Current track keeps mainly snow in our far northwestern counties like Darke, Mercer and Auglaize.

As our storm pulls away, everyone will transition back to some snow showers Wednesday night. This would bring a new light accumulation of a ½ to 1″. Temperatures will reach the upper 30s. Gusty winds through the day up to 35mph.

Roads will be icy Wednesday night due to refreeze. This will cause additional problems for the Thursday morning commute.

THURSDAY: It will be cold with some icy roads in the morning. A few more light snow showers are expected at times through day. Another quick coating to an inch of snow will be possible in spots. Temperatures will climb to the lower 30s. Slick spots still around for Thursday night.

FRIDAY: A cold morning in the mid-20s! Highs only reach the middle 30s. Broken clouds through the day. At night a quick burst of light snow showers will move through.

SATURDAY: A break Saturday for most in the morning and early afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. Chance for a mix of rain and snow arriving at night.

SUNDAY: Rain showers move through most of the Miami Valley. Ends as light snow. Highs in the low 40s.

MONDAY: Cold morning in the middle 20s. Highs only reach the low 30s. Broken clouds.

TUESDAY: Another chance for rain and snow showers for Tuesday otherwise cloudy. Highs in the middle 30s.
