The announcement came during a Wednesday news conference held in collaboration with Columbus health leaders.

“This is about keeping Columbus safe and open for business by employing a strategy that we know can slow the spread of COVID-19,” Ginther said.

Ginther told 10TV he will release additional information about the executive order in the next few days.

News Center 7 has reached out to the City of Dayton to see if Mayor Nan Whaley is considering a similar measure.
