COLUMBUS — A Columbus police officer is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Sunday evening.
Officer Hansel Henry was helping a disabled vehicle on I-670 prior to the crash, Columbus Police told our news partners at 10TV.

News Center 7 obtained video through a public records request with the Ohio Department of Transportation showed that Henry was using a marked cruiser with the emergency lights activated.
As he was standing on the interstate, a Honda Odyssey minivan lost control and hit Henry and his marked cruiser, 10TV reported. Video showed the impact push the cruiser into two other vehicles stopped on the interstate.
The officer was taken to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries. 10TV reported Henry is expected to survive.

Police said no other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
