It is Phase II of the Foley Drive and Enola Drive reconstruction project.
“We are going to be doing a complete reconstruction of the street,” said Rob Cron, City of Vandalia Public Service Director. “Which will include the new curbs and gutters, new asphalt, we are going to be replacing the new water main.”
The city acknowledged it will be an inconvenience and is asking people in those neighborhoods to park in driveways and not on the streets, Cron said in a City of Vandalia YouTube video.
“We’re going to try to maintain access to everyone’s homes during the project,” he said.
The total cost of the construction project is at least $1.1 million, according to Cron.
