DAYTON — Accumulating snow is expected in the coming days including the likely chance we’ll see an impactful winter storm this weekend, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Ryan Marando is monitoring both snow systems closely including the possible winter storm by weekend. He’ll break down the timing, track, and expected impacts LIVE this morning on News Center 7 Daybreak starting at 4:25 a.m.
The first snow chances arrive Thursday night into Friday where some accumulation is expected. Slick and snow-covered roads will be possible for the Friday morning commute.
Confidence is growing that the Miami Valley will see a significant winter storm by this weekend. The system is expected to arrive in the region late Sunday through Monday.
“It is a little too early to talk specific numbers, but the potential exists for several inches of snow,” Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney said.

Several school districts across the region are scheduled to resume classes after winter break on Monday.
