Dayton man indicted, accused of killing 17-year-old last month

DAYTON — A grand jury indicted a 24-year-old for the shooting death of a 17-year-old in mid-January.

Shaquonne McCurty, 24, of Dayton was arrested earlier this month after charges were filed. The grand jury returned the indictment today for murder, felonious assault and weapons charges.

Jadorian Glass, 17, was identified as the victim who was killed in the 4500 block of Germantown Pike Jan. 17.

“We want to thank the community for their assistance as the info we received helped our detectives with this investigation,” Dayton police said.

Prosecutors said Glass and McCurty had been in an on-going dispute for a couple of months prior to the shooting.

McCurty is due in for arraignment on the indicted charges next week.
