CENTERVILLE — The Americana Festival originally scheduled for July 3 and July 4 has been cancelled, the Centerville-Washington Twp. Americana Festival Board of Trustees announced Friday.

All festivities related to the event such as the fireworks display, 5K run, parade, street fair, auto show and children’s area activities are cancelled as well.
“A celebration of America’s Independence Day will go on as the festival committee encourages all residents and businesses in the Centerville and Washington Twp., area to showcase their patriotic spirit by decorating their homes and storefronts in red, white and blue,” a release said.
Details on a decorating competition will be posted to the festival’s website by June 1.
The festival committee is planning to reschedule the firework displays for later in the year and they are already planning for the 2021 Americana Festival.
