WATCH LIVE: President Trump gives update to the nation about coronavirus:
CENTERVILLE — Area stores have seen large crowds and bare shelves throughout as many people flock to them amid the coronavirus pandemic.
At the Centerville Costco store a line has stretched across the parking lot for two straight days as people waited for the store to open.
“People can behave themselves, but it was still crazy,” said Sugarcreek Twp. resident Jessica Lloyd.
The parking lot was packed this morning.
Across the street, at Target off Feedwire Road, almost or completely empty shelves in the toilet paper and cleaning products aisles.
Some stores are putting limits on those items to help make sure everyone is able to get the products they need.
Some shoppers said the people they’ve run into in stores are being friendly, but realize that hasn’t been the case everywhere.
“I've heard on social media there's been some fights at some Costcos and some Walmarts over toilet paper and things like that so everything was good - little bit of a line to get in but once you're in it's fine,” said Cindy Fanning of Sugarcreek Twp.
