WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — A group of citizen airmen with the 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron and the 445th Aeromedical Staging Squadron deployed to New York City Sunday to assist in medical care in the hardest hit area of the U.S.

The airmen are joining up with other military personnel at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
The deployment is part of a larger mobilization package of more than 120 doctors, nurse, and respiratory technicians Air Force Reserve units across the country over the last 48 hours to support COVID-19 missions.
The group will be providing medical services at the Jacob Javits Center, which is a convention center that is being turned into a hospital to treat coronavirus patients.
