DAYTON — St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church will be holding a drive-in style church service to bring their members together, while also abiding by social distancing rules in place for the state.
“Worship on Wheels” will happen at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church, 2262 N. Gettysburg Avenue.
The church is inviting its members to park in the parking lot of the church for the hour long service.
Cars are encouraged to arrive at 10:15 a.m. and people are asked to stay in their vehicles for the service.
“We have a heightened sense of obligation to find creative but appropriate ways to be of service to both our members and the community-at-large during this unprecedented time of uncertainty and lockdown,” said Rev. Renard D. Allen. “We shall remain committed to using our campus to provide spiritual and practical services to the community as we are able.”.
The pastor and band also will also be practicing social distancing for the service.
