MIAMI COUNTY — UPDATE @ 2:06 p.m.:

The Ohio Department of Health is reporting two more deaths in Miami County, making the total now 12.

It is currently unclear if the two deaths are from Koester Pavilion or Springmeade.

INITIAL REPORT:

In the latest update from Miami County Public Health, 52 cases are now associated with the coronavirus outbreak at two nursing/rehabilitation centers.

Both Koester Pavilion near Troy and Springmeade in Tipp City saw spikes in cases shortly after coronavirus was first confirmed in Ohio in mid-March.

Ten people have died in connection to the outbreak between the two facilities.

New county numbers released Monday also include 38 other cases in Miami County not associated with the facilities.

In all, 21 health care workers and 31 residents at long-term care facilities have been impacted, Miami County Public Health said.

Public Health said they are still continuing the contract tracing investigation into the facilities.
