Coronavirus: WPAFB begins new entry procedures for employees

Lack of new budget could impact spending at Wright-Patterson AFB Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

DAYTON — Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has released new entry procedures for employees in response to the coronavirus.

In video released on their official website and Facebook page demonstrates the new procedures that includes a new  scanning process for employee ID cards and following instruction by the Defender.

New WPAFB ID Check Process

In order to promote the safety and wellbeing of all Team Wright-Patt personnel, Defenders at the gates will no longer be touching your ID card. As you come up to the installation gates, you will need to show the Defender the front side of your card, then, when prompted, turn it around so the back side can be scanned and/or looked at. Once your card is scanned, follow the directions from the Defender. DO NOT proceed through the gate until you are directed to by the Defender so as not to cause confusion or initiate any other actions on the Defender’s part. We also recommend that you allow for additional travel time as we implement these procedures, and we thank you for your patience!
