WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP — A 22-year-old man was shot and killed while attempting to break into a Butler County apartment on Sunday, according to Wes Chester police.

The shooting occurred at 7560 Shawnee Lane at the Stoney Creek Condos around 3:30 a.m.

The Butler County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 22-year-old Isaiah Jordan Erickson of Colerain Township.
As previously reported by News Center 7, the resident heard noises coming from his balcony and then found Erickson inside.
The homeowner then shot Erickson.
Medics transported Erickson to an area hospital, where he later died.
The shooting remains under investigation.
