UPDATE: Ohio EPA responds to large fire at recycling facility in Auglaize Co.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY — UPDATE: 4 p.m.

The Ohio EPA responded to the scene of a large fire in Auglaize County Wednesday, a spokesperson confirmed.

News Center 7 obtained the following statement:

Ohio EPA was on the scene, controlling firefighting water runoff and monitoring local waterways while first responders put out the fire at a recycling facility near Cridersville. No runoff reached any waterways and there is no known environmental contamination. The fire department remains on scene to monitor for hot spots.

Crews are still on scene hours after a large commercial structure fire started in Auglaize County.

As of 8 a.m., crews are still working to get a large commercial structure fire under control, according to an Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher.

The fire was originally reported just before midnight.

Every Auglaize County Fire Department is responding to a large commercial structure fire.

Just before midnight, crews were dispatched to the 17000 block of National Rd in Auglaize County on reports of a commercial structure fire.

An Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher told News Center 7 that every Fire Department in the county is responding to put out the fire.
