One person was transported to an area hospital after a crash involving a school bus that struck a paving machine, Bill Wilson with the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post said.
The crash was reported on Ludlow Road near the intersection of Trebein Road in Beavercreek Twp. around 8:45 a.m.
Wilson said the driver’s side of a paving machine applying asphalt to Ludlow Road was side-swiped by a school bus mirror.
The bus mirror then trapped the drivers foot, which had to help be extricated by several people.

There were 31 children on the bus, Wilson said. No injuries were sustained to the bus driver or children.
“It was just an area of judgement of the distance between the mirror and the seat of the paver,” Wilson said.
The driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The son of the worker injured said the paving machine is about 10-feet-wide and the road is about 20-feet-wide so there’s only so much room left for traffic.
“If you’re coming through a construction zone, slow down, make sure you get over,” Zach Anguiano said.
