BATH TOWNSHIP — UPDATE @ 1:43 p.m.:
A Xenia man is dead after crashing his motorcycle and being by an SUV Friday morning.

The crash was reported around 9:05 a.m. on State Route 235 near W. Hyde Road in Bath Township.
Investigators from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said William Adams, 23, of Xenia, was riding a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle north on State Route 235 when he lost control of it, causing it to overturn.

Adams slid left of the center line and was hit by a 1999 Jeep SUV that was going south on State Route 235.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, 28-year-old Kreig Zink II, of Sidney, was not injured in the crash.
State Route 235 remains closed in the area of the crash, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route.
The crash remains under investigation.
