Woman dead after crash on Dixie Highway in Warren Co.

FRANKLIN — A woman is dead after a crash in Franklin Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m. Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were called to Dixie Highway south of Pennyroyal Road for reports of a crash.

An initial investigation found that a Honda Civic driven by Mary Hensley, 73, of Orange, California, was turning south onto Dixie Highway out of a private drive.

While turning out of the private drive Hensley was hit by a Dodge Ram driven by James Mackey, 46, of Franklin.

Hensley was taken to an area hospital where she died from her injuries, troopers said.

Mackey was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by OSP.
