XENIA — A skimmer was found on a card reader inside a Xenia grocery store on Monday.

As reported on News Center 7 at 6:00, a customer found the skimmer while checking out from Grocerylan in the 1300 block of N Detroit Street.

Grocerylan owners told News Center 7 that they took immediate action after the skimmer was found and there are no current issues.
The owners said they turned all their surveillance footage over to Xenia police.
They are also checking their credit card machines every two hours.
News Center 7 talked to one Grocerylan shopper about what happened.
She said she has been a victim of credit card skimming.
“Just be careful. I feel sorry for people my age that are living alone, and you know, it just makes me angry with those scammers,” Xenia Jean Easterling said.
Xenia police told News Center 7 that they took the skimmer to the station and are investigating the incident.
