3 structures damaged after fire breaks out in Dayton duplex

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4 p.m.: 

Three structures were damaged after a fire broke out in a duplex on West Grand Avenue avenue in Dayton Monday afternoon.

The fire broke out in the house in the 1900 block of West Grand Avenue, near Rosedale Drive, around 1:15 p.m. Monday.

Investigators said only one of the structures sustained significant damage but two adjacent structures were also damaged in the fire.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

UPDATE @ 2:15 p.m.: 

Firefighters continue to battle a house fire on West Grand Avenue in Dayton an hour after the blaze was first reported.

Heavy smoke continues to pour from the roof as multiple crews continue to work to extinguish the fire.

There have been no reports of injuries.

Firefighters have reported heavy flames and smoke are coming from a house on West Grand Avenue Monday afternoon, according to emergency scanner traffic.

Crews were dispatched to the house in the 1900 block of West Grand Avenue around 1:15 p.m.

There have been no initial reports of injuries.
